I have far too many hours in this game. It's similar, but different to a lot of 4x games. Each update/expansion changes the gameplay; it's amazing how far it's come since 1.0. But, I keep coming back even after all the hours I've sunk into it. I'd say it's worth the price, even years later.
Very good game... a bit busy though
Also some bugs particularly one ending that some times glitches (Prethoryn scourge infested world: cant bombard infested world)
I've actually foregone meals and lost complete track of time over the past week since I booted this up. I actually had to spend all of yesterday not playing to keep myself sane.
First game ever and I just beat down an awakened empire who didn't do a thing during the end-game crisis but had the gall to wake up and say they're going to be the protectors of the galaxy. Like buddy, that was me. I ended the end-game crisis in a week. Just go back to bed, pops.
Well, they didn't want to so I put them back to sleep while tossing several planets' worth of unemployed people at their doorstep. That'll show 'em.
Am I a bad person?
