A Work in "Progress"?
At this point, this product, focusing on Operation Barbarossa, from the strategic and tactical points of view, consists of battles fought during the summer of 1944 only. This seems an odd time frame to "begin" the sim of the eastern WW2 European front, from a chronological perspective. Why not "begin at the beginning" in June 1941, and, with DLCs, or Mods, proceed logically forward in time, allowing the user to experience the battles in the sequence they historically occurred? What, if anything, comes next? The total package here is not inexpensive, especially in light of the overall campaign content of merely part of one year out of a sum total of almost four years. Seems a little lacking in meat on the bones. Maybe SD2 will be "fleshed out" in the future. One would surely hope so, as this product shows potential and promise. Stay tuned...
