You might have noticed there's a lot of DLCs. That should be a red flag. Stay away from this one. The game is a successor to the Wargame series, and there is merit in that, sure - I put quite a few hours into this one myself - but with every new DLC the multiplayer balance is thrown badly out of whack, forcing players to keep $helling out ca$h if they wish to remain competitive. What a disappointment!
After playing some of the Call to Arma: Gates of Hell Ost Front scenarios it didn’t fully scratch my itch of a WWII strategy game. After playing my first game of this I was hooked. Love all the variation of units, vehicles, and defensive positions. There’s tons of Divisions from different countries all uniquely there own. I only have about 22 hours in it right now but I plan on playing it for a long time to come. I just wish I tried it sooner!
One of the best games I have ever played. Very complicated and diverse, a lot of units and strategies. Good for both relaxing playing and for competetive. I mostly play single player where I can pause so it doesn't even require big reflex. It is basically a Total War game set in WW2.
Game is good (like 5 stars), but in order to play multiplayer it is not DRM free ...
You have to create account with Eugen, but not just that, you also have to install and keep open Galaxy client.!!.. So no multiplayer without Galaxy and Eugene account...
I have 270+ games in account, and never used Galaxy (I don't want to), so this sucks ... like massively sucks...
I understand they want to protect against piracy, but seems like someone in company do not understand, that at same point of life almost everybody uses games without paying (e.g. while being poor young student), but then most of those players will BUY, and not just new games, but also games they played some years ago, just to reward developers of games they played and liked when money was an issue...
When they (management in gaming corporations) start to understand how gamer's environment works/behave, and they change the way they treat customers, then I will change my review to 5 starts ... sucks I can't give it now...
