Plunge into the depths of STASIS: BONE TOTEM, the latest installment in the STASIS anthology.
A new story, new characters, and a new underwater environment to explore.
Follow Mac and Charlie, a husband and wife duo, who make their living scouring the ocean for salvage. But, when they stumble upon an abandoned oil rig in the Pacific Ocean, they uncover a horrific secret that Cayne Corporation will do anything to keep hidden.
As you embark on your adventure playing Mac, Charlie, and their trusty Super-Toy, Moses, you'll encounter an immersive narrative filled with spine-tingling horror and unexpected twists. Combining the thrilling storytelling of STASIS and a tense underwater setting, STASIS: BONE TOTEM offers a personal story that will test the limits of family resilience.
Navigate through a massive underwater base, complete intricate puzzles, and solve an ancient secret concealed at the bottom of the ocean. BONE TOTEM features the same isometric, point-and-click gameplay that made STASIS a classic fan favorite, but with a new cast and a unique setting that will leave you gasping for breath.
With stunning visuals, a music score by Mark Morgan, a screenplay written by a Hollywood ace, voice acting by veteran actors, and a gripping storyline that will keep you on the edge of your seat - STASIS: BONE TOTEM is a must-play game for horror and sci-fi adventure fans.
So what are you waiting for? Dive into the unknown and uncover the BONE TOTEM beneath the waves.
I would say that the game is an absolute gem! I was rewarded for the money and time I have spent on this game. If you love atmospheric horror-sci fi puzzle solving game than this is a must have.
Every single time I thought that the story can not be any darker/twisted I was so wrong!
The puzzles are fairly balanced difficulty wise. There are large areas to discover and many contents to read about passed events to unravel the many tragedies that happened.
Speaking as someone who liked the first Stasis quite a bit, Bone Totem is one of the biggest leaps in quality I've seen in a sequel. Backrounds have gone from good to gorgeous, puzzles are better designed, and the terror has been ratcheted up to 11.
The absolute best part about the horror in Bone Totem, and one of the returning strengths from the first Stasis, is an understanding of the human element that makes a story go from merely a collection of spooky set pieces to a truly haunting experience. As tempting as it may be in horror, especially when it comes to horror video games, it typically isn't a good idea to submerge the audience in a constant deluge of mysery and death. The constant pressure can often normalize the terror, making what should be a tense situation feel like just another obstacle in the game. Bone Totem overcomes this with grace, telling a story that is not just scary, but engaging and emotionally resonant, constantly driving the player forward to see what amazing new turns wait just around the corner. And there is always something just around the corner, keeping things moving a such a brisk pace that getting bored just isn't possible.
Add to this an overhauled UI that makes pixel hunting a thing of the past without compromising the artstyle by making pickups stick out unrealistically, and what you get is one of, if not the best point and click game I've ever played.
I couldn't recommend Stasis: Bone Totem highly enough to fans of horror, point and clicks, or just damn well-made games. I don't know yet if there are any plans for a third entry into the Stasis series, but after this, all future sequels will be day one buys from me.
Statis: Bone Totem is an underwater sci-fi/horror point and click adventure. Every aspect of the game is top notch. Great storytelling, art direction, characters, audio, gameplay, and so on.
The clever puzzles use context clues gathered throughout your adventure, but fear not; the game comes with a separate file containing solutions to every challenge should you need it. This removes the frustration factor altogether and keeps the focus on exploration, story and fun.
Hope to see more titles using this interface and made with this level of extreme care and quality.
Highly Recommended!
i backet this game and i will do with all games this guys develop, i own all The brotherhood games, this game is a masterpiece , the history, the art, the puzzles, i play videogames since sierra games, BUY IT AND PLAY IT!!!!!
Well the riddles were sometimes complicated, it's nothing impossible to beat, still a hard challenge though. The characters were sometimes wooden and hard to understand. And the story was also kinda strange somehow. I mean, I don't want to spoiler, there were just things that wouldn't fit in my opinion.
On the other hand, it was a playable game and to be fair it also had some interesting perspectives and also very helpful tools if you got stuck in the game. Besides the characters were also very authentic in their behavior.
Summary: For Stasis fan's, a definite must have. For other's it's at least a nice try.
