StarVaders starts off a little slow and it seems that enemies are much too numerous for one robot equipped with a hand of cards to deal with. After a few runs, it becomes clear that it has depth and variety, as well as a ton of style. Combat is fast and tense, with plenty of surprises.

Very fun tactical deck builder

In this deck builder you control a single mech as a bunch of invaders move down (and move in other ways, they get very creative with some bosses) on a grid. The mech is controlled through card play from a deck builded deck, slay the spire style. The story telling (including time travel) and vibe and gameplay are actually very similar to Cobalt Core, which also does tactics + deck building really well. Both games also have great vibe and music. Overall Star Vaders has somewhat better flow and shorter runs, making it more satisfying if you only have time for short runs.

A good Roguebuilder

(7h hours played at this moment) If you're the kind of player who enjoy game like slay the spire and into the breach this one is for you. The game is snappy, the combos are fast the challenge is there and rewarding and replayability seems good, also a lot of mechanically unique character. It's a good roguelite.

Excellent deckbuilding roguelike

An excellent blend of Into the Breach and Slay the Spire. Lots of characters, each with their unique playstyles and an extensive card pool which enhances replayability. For newcomers, this is a great introduction to the genre as the game is more forgiving than some of its counterparts. For veterans of the genre, this is a must-buy. Beware though that the base difficulties are quite simple if you're used to the difficulty of similar games.

Amazing Roguelite

If you're a fan of Roguelite Deckbuilders and Grid-Based combat you will love this game. The Mech aesthetic is always fun, especially if you're into things like Evangelion. Like any great roguelite, runs are quick and fast paced. But the combat has some reasonable depth and solid variety with each class. So it respects your time, but with a lot of room for unlocks to make more unique and crazy runs in the future. Best analogy I can make is Mecha Slay the Spire. If that sounds like something you'd like, absolutely give the game a try. Also the soundtrack slaps, not to spoil anything too deep. Zone 3 is an absolute banger. The team has done a fantastic job with this game, and it really should be getting more love.

Fun deck builder since STS

Never had this much enjoyment since Slay the Spire. Fun music, deep interesting mechanics and crazy combo capabilities. Looking forward to what comes next.
