In the bloody aftermath of an intergalactic war between powerful alien races, a once-thriving network of starships, space stations, and planets are left lifeless and bear the scars of the apocalypse. As Stationmaster, it is up to you to rebuild the abandoned space stations, reunite the survivors, and bring the old Empire back to its former glory.
Populated by diverse alien species, such as the ecologically-minded and laid back Karmarama or the caring and gentle Dahenese Sirens, each space station comes to life with crime, trade, entertainment, racial tensions, and friendships. With these factors in mind, reconstruct and operate your station by managing the diverseand varied resident aliens while you also protect them against threats such as meteor showers, alien vermin infestations, roving bands of space pirates, and outbreaks of particularly virulent plagues. It’s not easy rebuilding civilization from the ruins, but the future is in your hands. Will you rise up to the challenge and build a Startopia that is ideal for everyone?

Startopia, an exceptional space-sim
I have found Startopia to be an engaging game of management that can be quite fun. With the requirement of recruiting various species and maintaining the right types of buildings it can draw in players for hours on end. It also has its own degree of sci-fi comedy reminiscent of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I definitely recommend it.

Great Game, Always has been!
Startopia, one of my fav Relax type of game. The game is easy, it is basically just a Sim Game but in a space station and instead of people, it is extraterrestrials. You set up a bunch of furniture and they use it. it is that simple. It can be boring for you if you prefer a more action oriented game though. What i like is that there is a lot of different species of aliens and they all have their own requirement. The thing is, the game can be played as a sandbox or as a story. in the story mode, you restart from scratch at each mission, and that can be a turn off for many people. I personaly consider it like a tutorial for the sandbox mode depending on what type of station you want to build. it is a very good concept executed perfectly because of its variety, but even with so much variety the game can still feel a bit restrictive. But all in all, i think it was and still is a great Sim game!!! 4/5 for me.
