Absolutely wonderful farming sim with tons of story telling. And lore!
The LAN play is awesome and my partner and I enjoy many hours together working on a farm!
Stardew' is an incredible example of a small developer taking the guidance and underpinnings of many other games and melding them together, then improving upon them in most cases to result in a game that is lovingly informed by so many of it's forebears.
If you've ever enjoyed Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing, or maybe even The Sims; you owe it to yourself to look into this game and most likely buy it.
I played Harvest Moon back in the day and really enjoyed it. However, what I did not like was that it felt like you were VERY limited in the amount of things that were able to do due to energy constraints in the beginning. Yes, this game feels much easier, but I enjoy just being able to do whatever I like and not being super stressed about it.
I am not going to write a huge review here, but what I will say is that it definitely delivers
I have to admit I just wanted to copy the game from a friend, but seeing how good it is I actually decided that I really want to support the creator and bought it here. The price is more than reasonable and this way I can play it with my gf (MAC) and also play it on my laptop (linux).
