This is nice, wholesome game I lie to play to get my spirit up. It's like listening to Bob Ross saying nice thing to make you feel good. Game as challenging as you want it to be. Really, dev made a wonderful job. I return to valley every now and then.

If you're into farm sims like Harvest Moon or casual games like Animal Crossing, this game is for you! It's nice and calming to make your own farm and become acquainted with the residents of the eponymous valley. Plus it being purely 2D means any machine can run it, even if it's a toaster!

This game helps me invision a more peaceful and rural life. I like the romance system. Sam is the most relatable and he reminds of a combination of a few people I have loved in the real world. I like the exploration, the nice feeling of town contrasted with the adventurism and danger+reward aspect of the mines. I am really hopeful for even more updates and expansion on the existing systems, to make the game last longer. It would be neat to be able to change the farm map mid-game or late-game so I can try another layout and playstyle without restarting the playthrough.

Over 300 hours on this game in my steam account, no AAA game has come anywhere close (other than MMO's back in the day). To think this is made by one guy while holding up other jobs just doesnt make any sense to me. Fantastic game, and had so fun playing this with my GF after multiplayer was introduced and she worked away. If in doubt, just give it a try.

I have only one complaint about this game: it's too addicting.It's far too easy to spend ten hours farming, foraging, fishing, mining, fighting monsters, and just having a good time in the town. There's so much content in the game that I've only scratched the surface at 50+ hours clocked, and there's a lot I've not figured out yet in what I have discovered. I could list a lot of things using very positive adjectives, but I'll just say that Stardew Valley is an all-around great game. It WILL dominate your free time if you're not careful, though.
