I've very little to add to the dozens of other reviews already posted on this page, but there's something that this version of the game and the one available on steam do not have in common. Whenever, for some particular reason you try to run Stardew Valley on an operating system other than Windows, multiplayer isn't available. I expected to be able to connect to my friend using a friend code, but the GOG version of Stardew valley only allows you to do local multiplayer IF you aren't using a supported operating system. This isn't an issue in Steam.

This is the game I come to when I need my mind to chill. You can go hardcore and mine, farm or fish all day, or you can just walk around and enjoy the scenery. I truly love the music and variety of things you can do at your own pace. It feels like a vacation for my brain. Absolutely love it!
