Climb on, strap in, and experience the pure adrenaline-pumping excitement of the Podracing sequence from STAR WARS™: Episode I The Phantom Menace.
Take the controls as Anakin Skywalker, or any one of over 21 Podracers, and feel the full-force blast of two massive jet engines at simulated speeds of up to 600 mph. Rein in a turbine-driven chariot through 8 spectacular worlds. Negotiate through flaming methane lakes, Tusken Raider assaults, ant-gravity tunnels and much more in a pulse-punding, do-or-die fight to the finish where anyone will do anything to cross the finish line. How far will you go?
its not just a childhood memory... it really feels that good like back in the days. but with higher frame rates. imagine this with mod support or remastered with better graphics and AI, but the same physics... it would still put modern racing games to shame
In 1999 I have played a demo of this game. It was fascinating. I buyed the game. In 2016 I found it during a search of old games. I tried to install on my Windows 10 PC but this was not successfull. And then in 2018 I received a mail from GOG. Hurray, I can buy one of my favourite Games Starwares Racer Episode One. I buyed it immediately. It runs very good on my Windows 10 x64 Version 1803 Build 17134.81.
Its a wonderful racing game with very good keyboard-controlling. I'm 66 years old and its pleasure for me to play this game. Thanks to GOG for this game
I'm not an avid player of racing games, but I make an exception for Episode I Racer. The first (and until recently, last) time I played this game was back in the early 2000s, and I know this is far from a new observation, but it's worth adding one more confirmation: this game has aged incredibly well. The racetracks are excellently varied; the upgrade and damage systems are elaborate and well-executed; and the pod racers themselves have a slight learning curve, but it makes them all the more enjoyable once you figure them out (and configure the controls to a layout of your liking).
Whether you played it back in the day or are just seeing it for the first time, this is a game worth picking up.
Glad GOG Brought This Awesome Video Game Back From The Past There Are So Many Unique Planets That Make The Experiece A Joyride In The Good Ol Podracer From Episode 1 The Phantom Menace. I Appreciate How Well This Game Was Configured And How Much Work Was Put Into It Good Job GOG! Please Add Episode 1 The Phantom Menace Next! (PC And PS1 Game).
