I like this game. Small help in windows 8.1, in SFC folder is file sfc.ini 1) set graphic and resolution by video setting 2) in sfc.ini wireframe=1 windowed=1 Play

Needs a Win8 Patch
Had the game when it was first released, thrilled to see it on GOG, however like other users have said, the game will crash very quickly on Windows 8.1 64Bit systems. Really hope that something can be done to fix this!

An exercise in frustration
For reasons I can't fathom, the game is simply impossible. I played fleet command 3 when it came out and enjoyed it, but after several hours of trying I cannot come close to defeating a single enemy at the easiest level on this version. With no explanation as to what, if anything, I am doing wrong and the tactics described in the tutorials a sure path to rapid failure I see no way to understand the game well enough to get any value from it. The cloaking device feature has no effect whatsoever (moving at speed one, when I reached distance 25, the enemy ship turned towards me, raced up at full speed and shot me on both occasions that I tried it).

Non functional
I can't rate the game itself, I can only rate this rendering of it. The program is non-functional and non-responsive. Absolutely no keyboard responsivity whatsoever. Waste of money.
