A classic Trek game
I played Star Trek Armada a lot when i was younger, getting to play it again on modern platforms is great. Can't recommend it enough

even though the types of ships you could use are limited per factions it's still a great game and very fun to play.

cant give it 5 stars because it suffers
from major problems. like how the only way to zoom in and out is pressing the mouse buttons together and moving the mouse. and you cant change it. furthermore, it dosent give you enough zooming out anyway. so the game feels very clastrophobic. armada 2 fixed it among other things. maybe i should have bought only armada 2 because it is a much better game but this isnt the biggest problem anyway. the biggest problem is that skirmish mod (instant action) is under the multiplayer tab. which means. its a seperate options all together. so you need to pause the game after starting each skirmish and change the game speed at every skirmish match you start, because it wont let you change it from the menu and it wont let you save and load settings like armada 2 let you. so its really really annoying. constantly changing the speed of the game because by default its too slow. if you think about buying then i would reccomend buying only armada 2
