A Diamond in the EXTREME rough
This was written after the 1.0.3 Patch After this patch (my) crashing issues have been mostly resolved but performance is still very spotty without mods. I dont have the highest specs around but Idont normally run into performance issues like this game has. I7-9700K 64GB RAM DDR4 3200 MT/s RTX 4070 2TB SSD *All this gives me a very unstable experience with my FPS fluctuating between 40-60 fps* The game is fun and feels refreshing even after years of playing the original trilogy and Anomaly. There are a ton of well animated and directed cutscenes that will be a problem for some people but I personally dont have an issue with this. The story is interesting and the English Dub while being "bad" really works for me in a "so bad its good" way. A-Life 2.0 is sadly "broken" at the time of writting this which is a huge bummer and a possible deal breaker for some. Its everything I wanted from a game series I desperately wanted to come back. I just wish performance was better and with time that could change.

Great game, few technical problems
Worthy continuation of original Stalkers. Players new to franchise will catch up with the vibe anyway. Setup: rx 6600xt , r5 3600, 16GB, FSR 3.1, high-mid, 1440p- around 80fps most of the time, upscaling leaves weird artifacts (pun intended) but hey, this is the zone. Needed console for unlocking main quest, just google what you are locked on and it will be allright (using console don't lock achievements on gog). Few crashes, very few smaller bugs. For bigger bugs use shotgun. A- live dosn't work at all, quite a shame.

Incredible Experience
It's been a very long time since a game comes along and has me thinking about it nonstop. STALKER 2 has me thinking about it all day. I've played it through numerous times, got every ending, dove deep into its story (which is massively deep, but understandably obtuse for new players), played out every possible scenario, played with every weapon, the dozens of artifacts. OHHH MAN! I can't get enough. I love it. If you're wondering about performance, as of now with version 1.1.4 the game is in great shape. I played it through with an ancient Sandy Bridge CPU and an RX 480 here on GOG, got a pretty consistent 1080p 30fps experience. Pretty good for kit this old. I played on other platforms with much better hardware and had a fantastic experience on there as well.
