Sheer beauty and calmness

It's only a demo and i'm already so hooked!! ^^' It's such beautiful and soothing game and just as someone wrote here, it does remind you of Ghibli world. Beautiful artstyle and music, great story(from what i could see in demo) and gameplay. You can do so much, cook, farm, explore, tend to needs of your fellowmen and boost your relationships and i think that this is just tip of the iceberg of what this game will have to offer in its final form. That moment when you hug your companions and you hear that little "mmmm" sound of love and care for you made my whole day ^__^ Cooking feels basic atm but i think we'll get more complex dishes when full version arrives. I personally wouldn't change a thing about fishing, it's simple one button touch but to me it felt just right for this game. I truly can't wait for this game to be released and i even hope that it'll be also released on phone like androind because i'd so love to take it with me and play it wherever i go. :)

Release it you cowards!!!

When I saw the announcement trailer one year ago, the game don't catch my attention, but after I play this demo I have to say that I loved, the game is just awesome!!! It's heartwarming, full of charm, and personality, I really looking forward to the full release!!! PS: I notice a very small problem, I always pet the cat when I try to enter/exit a room.

So calm

The demo was calm and wonderful. The artwork is so pretty and you can hug the npcs, and the animation is just so damn sweet! I think the storyline will hurt somewhere on the way a LOT, because of the job the MC is doing. But i'm really interested!

Just beautiful

Games without any kind of combat aren't rare, but they're usually relegated to simulators. Even sports or board games are usually about defeating an opponent. What is rare is to see a game without conflict. A game about peace. This is what Spiritfarer is. A game about helping the deceased move onto the afterlife. Unlike her colleague Charon, Stella, the protagonist, is a happy, colorful girl willing to help anyone she happens upon, to make sure they have a peaceful passage to the other side. What strikes you the most about the game is just how absolutely gorgeous it is. Art style and animation are wonderful, and make you want to explore everything around you. The gameplay is relaxing, focused on exploration and dialogue with light platforming and some minigames. Sadly, this demo is a bit on the short side. There's only a couple of activities to do and they're gone very fast. Activities like crafting or upgrading are nowhere to be seen here, but I can't fault this demo for it. It does its job of presenting the world to you and showing future possibilities. It says a lot about how well constructed this game is that I'm just excited for it than I am for "Carrion", another demo I recently tried for an upcoming game, which is pretty much the polar opposite of this one. Granted, not everyone's going to be as open as I am to entirely different genres, but if you're looking for a calm, beautiful experience, this game will do the trick.

Interesting

Reminds of Super Mario 64 with the jumping etc. Although it happens in 2D, that's no bad thing. The graphics are smooth and the gameplay is accessible for most people. It's a demo of a work in progress, so there are some limitations and lack of help, but nothing that I couldn't overcome, even if I am a grumpy, 58 year old, casual gamer. There's enough here to peak my curiosity, so I'll follow the development of this. I may even buy it.
