Not a DLC... a standalone.

This is a great game, but the technical presentation makes no sense. This is not DLC that installs to the base game. This is, in fact, the base game minus the beach resort content and with the additional buildings. Very confusing from a technical standpoint...aka...shoddy. So, one has to play the supposed "base" game with the beach resort content, and then switch to the Adventureland .exe, port the save, and then play...or start from scratch. Very confusing and not well done. I didn't want to buy the same game twice...just an expansion. lol So, 4 stars for actual value...minus three for this confusion.

Installer and keyboard binding is defect

in my library the Offline installer for adventureland is: setup_spirit_of_the_island_-_adventureland_2.1.0.1.1_(67980).exe that is WAY behind the latest version witch right now is 3.0.5. The following is from GOG SUPPORT CENTER Downloads & Installing General information: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do I need some launcher application to play my GOG games? No, you don't need any additional apps or launchers. All games downloaded from GOG are nicely wrapped in a self-executable (exe) setup file, some of the larger games are accompanied by binary files. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That statement is NOT true for this game (a false commercial ? ). because the installer in the library still stays persistent at version 2.1.0.1.1_(67980) Because of this. You can only get the latest version of the game (for offline use) by: 1) First downloading an additional launcher called GOG Galaxy. 2) Then downloading the game using Galaxy. 3) Then remove Galaxy again. 4) Then packing the game using 7-zip, win-zip or some other packer. I have not tried a version later than 3.0.5.0. I did so using the above method. I have now way of knowing when the game get updated. Because the offline installer stays at 2.1.0.1.1 forever. Also keyboard rebinding in this game do not work in a persistent manner (for me at least). I am left-handed. So I do change movement from WASD to arrow keys, and so on. But as soon i restart the game all settings is reset back to default. So you have to reapply all keybindings every time the game is started (I had). Consequently I never got far into playing much of the games content or any of its story (if it exist).
