Killing undead minions like the cowboys of the Old West used to do. Bring back resources to power up your abilities and see how far you can get on the next run.
It is a roguelike which is fine but my main issue is that the attacks are poorly telegraphed and enemies not recognizeable by sound. Suicidebomber enemies can run up to you from behind without you knowing they spawned in and your run is over. The other issue is that enemies do wind up for an attack but when they unleash it is almost impossible to avoid the damage. It feels like damage is dealt before the animation plays. You get hit even though you clearly are not there were the enemy attacks. Its like the damage is dealt at the start of the enemy attack animation not at the end which makes this whole game frustrating as hell. Another issue is that skills and perks often feel like a downgrade and the "ultimate" especially is often tied to a negative which can screw you over.
Overall this game is currently a failed attempt at a first person Hades copy.
It tries to be Hades from an ego perspective. But for me the production value just isn't there to be worthy of being replayed and replayed again.
A rogue lite needs to have a crisp and fun gameplay but soulslinger feels too slow and inprecise
