An interesting game
I'm a casual player of games and try to enjoy them based on multiple factors from story to graphics. The top-down approach to gaming isn't a favorite of mine along with the super stiff (wooden) characters, so I approached this game with low expectations...I they were met. I'm happy for the implementation of the D&D rules but that aside, I found the experience mildly entertaining. The characters are what stands a game apart and these have good-ish dialog during the larger cut scenes but the smaller ones are too brief and offer little detail. After 30 hours of play, I was hoping for a professional cut scene with true animation but I was sorely disappointed. The game Greedfall had superior dialog as an example of how a game should handle dialog. Downward we go to talk about the animation during the cut scenes, or lack thereof. What's off putting is how unrealistic they stand all together, in the same formation, and barely move their heads with obvious lip-sync issues. Overall, I don’t feel motivated to play this game and when I die, it doesn’t bother me nor do I feel the need to load my last save.
