Fun; something we all need to have, and that is what I got out of this adventure. The only thing I think was missing: my wizard never could use spells 4 or 5, as there was nothing to choose. And another thing, there was no guide on how to play the game, so I had to guess what a lot of the game was about as far as mechanix were concerned.
Other than that, I will play the game again, and hopefully the above issues will come to resolution!
I have played virtually all digital DnD games(except BG3), this is alltime top 3!
However hardcore roleplayers will be disappointed, since it's too linear and choices doesn't matter.
ToEE is the only rival to the tactical experience, although I much prefer 3.5e over 5e, this game still comes out on top because of the true 3D support, there's nothinig quite like *flying* over the map and sneak-attacking the poor unsuspecting opponents!
Great Game!!! Had lot's of fun over many many hours with the game. The 3D game engine is one of the best I ever experienced with turn based RPGs. Usually I don't like to climb, jump and fly but in this game these features are implemented very smoothly. Also I liked the UI a lot as it is very clear and easy to use.
Also there are many difficulty settings, be careful not to adjust it to easy by misuse of "dice luck" for example. Also I have to mention that throughout the whole game I experienced zero bugs. Congratulations to the developers from my side.
It was already a solid AA RPG game with a nice campaign, but with the latest addition - multiplayer - I can play coop with famility/friends. And there are only few modern RPGs with that option.
I first got interested in the game when I saw combat in some videos and it was on discount so I bought it and it didn't disappoint :) After couple of hours into the game I decided to start over with the other two DLCs which I decided to buy. As others write, the plot is simple but enjoyable, the characters aren't unique but I don't mind. I really enjoy the gameplay.
