Tame the mountain and build the ideal ski resort on top of it. Answer the needs of skiers who always want more and better. Adapt the tracks so they can enjoy their stay.
The objective is simple: make it the nicest play to live. Do you want to take this challenge?
BUILD
Build a skiiable mountain starting from the grounds up. Shape up the world of Snowtopia as an ideal world. Manage the resort with the support of the community who is populating your resort. Make sure everyone get a place and happiness in this utopian, wintery world.
MANAGE
It won’t be easy to build the ideal ski resort. Dozen of skiers coming to Snowtopia have different needs and wishes. Some want an authentic, small station, while others want something competitive and working all year round. Answer those puzzling challenges and collection all skiers profiles.
PERSIST
The mountain is huge and it’s not with only one station you’ll be able to collect all skiers profiles. Once your challenge is over, get onto the next! Climatic conditions, selected profiles and availables resources will vary. The mountain can be a friend or provide hard challenges.
I played Ski Resort Tycoon as a little kid and this game immediately reminded me of it.
The demo appears to be pretty old (out of date). It's not very long and a lot clunky. It was still fun enough to consider buying the full game, which I did. The developer has released a lot of updates since the demo was posted and the game has a lot more content. I'm looking forward to the continued development of this game!
I like tycoon games, so I gave this a try. However, I found just trying to lay down a single ski run such a frustrating effort, that I abandoned the demo after less than 10 minutes. There seemed to be no way to undo any placements you make, nor any way of moving them (by e.g. clicking and dragging them around), so after 3 unsatisfactory attempts, I just stopped trying. Maybe a manual would help?
I know this is a Demo, but the game has nothing much to offer yet.
You are limited to build your ski tracks, and lifts.
Voluntairs are needed to keep everything running, and here lies the problem for me;
you unlock new voluntairs every X people that are visiting you resort.
After a while this feels unbalanced. Once you get 500 people, there's much more demand for repairs etc. But you are just limited by that factor of X.
For now; this is not the game I hoped for; Let's see what the final game has to offer...
