When the democratic government of Isla Trueno is overthrown, an aggressive and hostile military command rises to power. Players take on the role of a Ghost Warrior, an elite sniper in a highly trained special ops unit, whose unique skills in the art of stalking, target detection, surveillance and shooting accuracy will determine mission success. Wasted visuals - could have been better
Played through the Campaign and currently on Unfinished Business missions. During the game, what I really only liked was the visuals. The environment was stunning and reminded me a bit of Far Cry 3's map. Even though this released 14 years ago, the game never really feels and looks dated in terms of graphics. However, the gameplay itself, I did not enjoy much due to the annoying and sometimes game-breaking bugs I encountered. - Examples include that one mission where you can use a machine gun to defend yourself from waves of enemies while waiting for the chopper. Unequipping the gun would teleport you outside the sandbags and well in the line of sight of enemies. - Walking up an incline or up the stairs, I get stuck sometimes and have to stand up in order to advance. - Stealth missions are useless since even if you do get detected, for some reason, it doesn't end the game immediately. The bullet physics are broken, even for rifles. It just feels clunky and there are shots where even if you aim straight at enemies a few meters away, they don't get hit. Feels like I'm playing Valorant all over again. The enemy AI is also weird. - There are missions where you have to go undetected but even if you do get detected and the enemy open fires, if you manage to kill them, the enemy a few meters away looks like they did not even hear the gunfight and keeps on standing or walking calmly. - There are also times their movements are bugged and looks like they are sliding on the ground. - Sometimes they spot you from miles away, sometimes they can't spot you even if you're face to face. Story-wise, it wasn't the worse but it could have been better. I never really felt emotionally invested to it and it feels almost like a plot for a B-movie. Pretty sure military missions don't mess up as often as the game portrays. Overall, game feels so-so. If you want to buy it, though, then buy it on sale. Hopefully the rest of the series gets better than this.

Average but fun
I never really appreciated this game as a kid on 360. If it wasn't uber polished, massive budget, blockbuster then I probably wouldn't play it. Fast forward 25 year old me and....it's ok. Certainly fun but average shooter with a hint of jank. Doesn't look half bad either. While this game is HEAVILY dated with even for it's time really, it's not bad especially for the price. Buy if you got some cash to burn and play a mindless shooter for a bit :)
