For macOS 10.13 and 10.12 please use the beta branch - to access it in GOG Galaxy use the Customize button (on the right of the Play button) -> Manage installation -> Configure. Once there, from the drop down menu, under the "Installation" section, please select the "MacOS 10.13 and Older" and press OK. The game should be automatically updated to this version. GOG GALAXY is not supported for macOS 10.11 and below and so, in this case, please use the offline installers for your version of the game.

The best game of the rogulike-ccg genre so far, and while not perfect and still leaving room for improvements, a great foundation for future games to build and improve on...
It doesn't matter how well my deck runs in battle after battle, the game will consistently stack my deck in the worst possible way in the end game. Like all 3 copies of Flex with a single strike, or all 3 copies of Entrench with no block cards, or going into the final boss with ALL of my block cards in the lower half of the draw pile. Magic has mulligan rules for a reason.
I wanted to give this game either five stars or one. I split the difference.
It certainly deserves five stars. It's fun, challenging, and allows you to play in many creative ways. I love it. Unfortunately, I can't play it. Every time I get to the second act, The City, the game begins to stutter, spasm, and freeze. My fan goes nuts. I have to force quit over and over. Sometimes that will let me progress to the next fight. Someone mentioned a run takes forty minutes. Not if you have to quit the game ten times, shake the window around, resize, rejigger, and trouble shoot every. singe. time. you get to The City.
My computer is older, but with upgrades. It has an igpu, 8 gigs of ram, and a 500 mgb SSD. The game runs perfectly fine in act one at the highest settings, and the later acts, if I'm lucky enough to get past act two. A lot of times that won't happen. I quit out of frustration. Or get killed because the game lags when I try to play a card and wind up playing a different card instead.
I would love to fire this game up and play for a few hours to unwind. Sometimes I forget. I do fire it up. I start a run. It's going well. Then I get to The City. And the game has a stroke. And I quit. And start over. And quit. And read the forums again, hoping someone has an answer other than "Buy a new computer." And then I throw my computer out the window and vow to write a review, just to have some outlet for my venom.
If you are willing to roll the dice, you might get a truly excellent game. Or you might one third of a truly excellent game and an aneurism.
