Just when he thought his life was regaining some semblance of normality, Simon's wonder years are once again turned upside down when the evil sorcerer Sordid returns from the grave with only one thing on his mind - revenge!
Sordid reconstructs his Fortress of Doom and sends a magical wardrobe to fetch Simon, but it accidentally ends up on the doorstep of Calypso, the wizard Simon had to save in the first game. Simon then starts to look for a special fuel that can power back the wardrobe and get him home.
Journey with Simon through this inevitable sequel to the best selling Simon the Sorcerer, as he manages once more to get stuck in a land of twisted fairytales, recycled gags and carbon dated clichés!
With a cast of thousands (mostly woodworm) and enough Swampy Stew to keep an underprivileged country sick for a year, this classic adventure will keep you well entertained until we manage to make another sequel.

Given GOG's content review policies and guidelines for admitting a game on the store, it's shameful that games like this so-called "enhanced" edition make it on the platform.
The new version has a hideous, out-of-place hi-res interface that replaces the old one. The HD graphics are just a quick and dirty Super 2xSal filter that blurs and generally destroys the graphics.
Stay well away.
There is no HD in this "HD-Version"
I'am a bigSimon 1&2 fan and ofc. I own the original games on GoG. But another 5-10€ for these "HD-Versions" is a complete rip off. The only used an "soft Focus" on the game, wich is for example build in ScummVM, and call it an 25th Anniversary Edition.
That is an missed opportunity to give an good old game the love it deserved (like ME 1&2).
...and its fanbase. It pains me to give a negative feedback for my favorite game of my childhood, but if it keeps companies like Mojotouch from creating any more abominations like this "enhanced" version, then it's worth it. This company apparently doesn't give a flying f*** about paying a proper tribute to a true adventure classic. Just thinking about what this enhanced version could've been makes me even more furious about this insolent cash grab.
I should have read better the product description page!
This is nothing more than the same Simon the Sorcerer 2 game which was published in MS-DOS with the adittion of an awful graphic filter (something like 2xSAI) and a new menu that lets you select various languages and subtitles. Also, it allows to choose the soundcard emulation for music, but it sounds nothing like the original - I should know, because I have a real MT-32 and SC-55 on my desk.
I already had the original version and would NOT buy it if it's your case too. I bet this is nothing more than DOSBox on a shiny frontend, but at least with the original DOSBox release you could fiddle with graphics settings.
