Silent Hill 4: The Room

Game crashes at launch on Windows 10. Had to refund the game.

I'd give this game a 2/10, but thats genourous. Everything about this game is bad, and the only reason im not giving it a 1 is because at least they made a (mostly) functional video game. The combat is bad, the puzzles are bad, the story is bad, its not scary, the game crashes a bunch, the 2nd half of the game is terrible, but most importantly this doesnt even feel like a silent hill game, but yet a souless cashgrab that slapped the name "Silent Hill" on a game that had no connections to the town itself, yet they were so lazy they didnt even bother to add those connections after the fact. Do not buy this game.

The ports of Silent Hill 3 and 4 on PC are good enough to play. For Silent Hill 2 you are going to have to emulate the PS2 version, it's easy and a great experience. Stay the hell away from Silent Hill 2 remake, the people making it have no respect for the source material.

I have never played any Silent Hill Game before, but if the positive reviews of this mess is true, then maybe Silent Hill is just a bad series of games, lol. Honestly, do yourself a favour and avoid this abomination. It is one of the worst game experiences I have had among those 500+ games I have played in my life. Story might be interesting, but this is a game not a book! You need to have a functional gameplay, for God's sake! "Ooh, but the slow and sluggish movement, bad camera angles represents depression feeling...". Yeah, humans can justify anything no matter how terrible it is. Nope, this is a terrible overpriced game. Don't get it! I beg you. Don't be a pawn of the mad Silent Hill 4 fans. Only by avoiding this game can you truly save your sanity and the pain to your wallet.
