I can't imagine what they're thinking by charging $9.99 for this soundtrack. The soundtrack's composer, Siddhartha Barnhoorn, is selling this soundtrack on his Bandcamp page for 5 euros ($5.54 at the current conversion rate), and you get your choice of formats, including lossless FLAC.
So I need to pay $17.99 (on sale for $16.19 as of April 20 2019) for the full game of Sigma Theory: Global Cold War but if I want the soundtrack I need to pay a whopping $9.99 (currently on sale for $8.99) for just the soundtrack? And I can't just buy the soundtrack, because "To play this game you also need..." the full game. Meaning I have to pay $17.99 and then another $9.99 (or the -10% sale difference price)... for some music, and the developers ACTUALLY expect me to pay this price. They really think this is okay to ask me for this much money to give me so little... My jaw is completely dropped to the floor. I don't understand how this is allowed? I was waiting for Sigma Theory: Global Cold War to come out but now that it finally has I can't believe the price the devs expect me to pay for the game and the soundtrack, off sale or on sale. Both ways is a kick to my gut and a deeply felt insult to my intelligence from Goblinz Studio and Mi-Clos Studio. That's just way too much for such a short game, and on top of that way too much for some game music. I expect this type of behavior from EA, but not some good, nice, and honest indie devs. I feel so repelled by this gesture that I'm unwilling to buy anything from these two dev teams ever again in the future even if it goes on sale. I'm totally just done. It's not just the price, it's the principle. The fact that they would even ask this much for so little in the first place is to me, a measure of what they think of me as a customer. The fact I even felt so gross inside to be moved to write a review like this in the first place is really telling for me. You know that little angry voice inside that climbs the ladder of your throat until it escapes the top like a bursted steam pipe "SCREEEEEEEEEEEEE!!", that's the feeling I felt. It was not enough for me to just hit exit and ignore this and move on. It comes to a point where a person just has to speak up and say something.
