Still the best...
...Civ in space. Easy enough to jump in and go but deceptively complex for those who want to dive under the hood, micro manage and maximise the efficiency of their empire. The Sci-Fi setting is great and there is a wicked sense of humour peppered throughout the game. "Please don't go, the drones need you - they look up to you."

A true gem
Much is said about 'replayability' these days but SMAC is one of the first games I install on a new laptop, it is my favourite game probably of all time. If there was a 6th star, it'd be 6/6.
