You play Sanjuro Makabe, a Mobile Combat Armor (MCA) pilot and Commander in the UCA Security Force. The UCA was originally formed by three dominant megacorporations (Andra Biomechanics, Armacham Technology Corporation, and Shogo Industries). Originally intended as a joint venture that would ensure the continued profitability of the three organizations that founded it, the UCA is now independent, and the dominant military power in existence.
Your mission is to locate and assassinate a rebel leader known only as Gabriel. All of the action takes place either on the planet Cronus or on the spaceship Leviathan. The Leviathan is the flagship of the UCA and is commanded by Admiral Akkaraju. Cronus is the only known source of the biologically active material known as Kato, an incredibly powerful energy source essential to the process by which interstellar travel is possible.
Your deadly enemy is The Fallen, a fanatical terrorist group lead by the mysterious Gabriel, threatens the balance of power on Cronus, and ultimately, control of Kato. You will fight them on your feet or from within one of the different types of Mobile Combat Armor, a giant mech which can run, duck, strafe, swim or transform into an ultrafast hovertank.
You will know the true power of giant robots!
Anime-influenced graphics and gameplay design
Fight on foot or pilot a giant mech in both open and urban environments
An interesting storyline with two possible endings
The art direction and anime styling is cool, but it doesn't hold up the fact that the gameplay is generally pretty poor. Piloting the huge mecha doesn't feel as good as it should, and the on-foot sections are a little laboured. The game has character, though, and is worth checking out, but don't expect greatness from it.
By no means is this a "great" game. There are a lot of things that could be better. It feels very dated compared to a few other games from the era. Nothing really sticks out about this game. Gameplay mechanics are mediocre at best.
But it's cheap and it is fun. Giant robots, anime inspired story, and lots of action. That is all you need to know to enjoy this game. Its a very rough jem. Its one of those titles that could have been great if someone made a mod to fill in whats missing. So go ahead and pick this title up.
In order to run this game in windows 10 64 bit no doubt 32 bit also, I have 64 bit, you have to make this game compatible for windows 7 as per gogs specs on this game it doesn't mention windows 10 as I had same issue as HunterZ until I did the above step than it ran okay, only crashed every now and again but defiantly was playable.
Graphics ARE TERRIBLE, defiantly have aged extremely poorly but your not playing a 1998 game for graphics so don't judge game on that, the story line was SUPERB and the playability was rock solid and big difficulty jumps being an older game if you go up difficulties.
This game is a huge must to have in your library and if the above advice on how to get it working doesn't work than see if you can get a refund but everyone should be making sure specs are checked before making a review about game not working, HunterZ if you read this please try the above step if you haven't already as it is worth the play through for story and action.
