Initial Interest Unfulfilled
I appreciate imagination & effort into Shardlight, but thin plotline doesn't fulfill or explain much that is mentioned in the description beside the technical aspects (very low resolution) affect possible potential in this point-&-click with dialogue choices adventure. Very linear, guided, & fundamental to the genre.

Pleasant, but flawed
Interesting story and setting, though it would benefit from a little more time. The ending felt especially rushed, and some of the things that were hinted about Tiberius were not used. The puzzles were on the easy side; and, the one or two points where i was stuck were mostly of the pixel-hunty variety.

Great voice acting
Great voice acting, fair puzzles, the things needed rarely are far away, sometimes a bit too convenient and obvious, what you'll need for what. The story felt a bit rushed at certain moments.

Recommended
Overall a good game, even though I found the ending to be a little disappointing. And although games of this genre tends to be rather linear, this one felt a bit too much like the main character was being railroaded into particular decisions, just to advance the story.

Good, almost great
Good game, with some hinderance. Some story plots are guessed too easily just before being revealed. That's not too bad though. The main downside is that passed a point, the game becomes too easy until the end. Puzzles then are straightforward, like they were rushed, and you get to the end very quickly, which is anti-climatic. Other than that, it's worth it on sale. 3.5/5
