Welcome to the world of Seven Kingdoms II: The Fryhtan Wars, a world of intrigue and diplomacy, of trade and industry, of betrayal, espionage and conquest. Take control of any of twelve emerging Human civilizations: Egyptian, Indian, Persian, Chinese, Japanese, Mongol, Greek, Roman, Carthaginian, Norman, Viking or Celt. Or you may choose to play as one of seven Fryhtan races and experience a completely different type of gameplay. A style of play where fair dealing and mercy count for little.
Seven Kingdoms II gives you heroes, 3D rolling terrain, a Random Campaign Generator, an incredible number of fighting units and weapons, more beautiful and detailed buildings than you will know what to do with, expanded espionage and research capabilities and numerous other new features.

Compatability issue
The game's filled with Nostalgia for me, but the compatability issue can't seem to be resolved so I am very disappointed.

Different from the first one
If SK and SK II are to be compared i think the best thing one could say its that they are .. different. Technically, SK2 is an improvement both in graphics and gameplay elements ; the possiblity of playing as Frythan, more kingdoms and other cool stuff. But in the end, it just doesn't feel the same ; i don't know why but the game just doesn't feel right.

Really mediocre
Really mediocre.I think we don't need other words to describe this game.I bought it for 50 bucks in 2001 and still i consider that one of the worst trade in my entire life. It starts with some good ideas (the mixture between history and sci-fi, the graphics of the units are quite nice), but the final realization doesn't make sense at all. You will not find realism at all (the troops are bigger than the buildings-are you f*****g kiddin' us?), the economical aspect has a terrible taste of fake (oh my god,the ''chains'' between the building...),the map is probably the worst ever seen in a RTS (empty,flat,horrible) and the battles are repetitive and based only on the brutal numbers. There's really little to save, you'll find a whole world of better RTS games here on GOG,avoid this.
