A shame :(
If I could claim that the game didn't run, I'd immediately ask for a refund. Unfortunately it runs mostly fine under both Windows and Linux (via Wine). I'd still like to speak some words of warning: under Windows shifting up and down doesn't work properly (all fine in Linux curiously). Then, whenever you get your car stuck somewhere you'd better hope someone will impact you hard enough to free you, otherwise you'll remain stuck. And there's weird things like this: single player and most multiplayer modes have really nice, feel-good arcade-like steering. Except for the multiplayer offroad race mode, where the cars feel real sluggish and unresponsive. If you do manage to finish a course with all players, there's no option to advance to another course or to go back to the lobby, you'll only be able to quit to the menu or do the same course again. And (both Windows and Linux) will require the hosting computer to quit the game and boot it back up again before hosting will work a second time. I'm not even complaining about the (even for the time!) amateurish menu graphics and spectator sprites. All of the above amounts to a sad face because in essence, Screamer 4x4 could have been an intensely fun and different-in-a-good-way car racing game. Unfortunately, it seems to have been rushed out the door for a quick dollar on top of Screamer 1 and 2.

Great game but poor compatibility
The game has a lot of great content, including multiplayer playground modes that still playable with bots. But it didn’t run well on modern pc.
