Sam & Max Hit the Road

As someone with no prior exposure to Steve Purcell's comic books works like the titular Sam & Max, this was quite a hair-scratcher of a pile of puzzles. Enjoyable, entertaining, but also often left me stumped for not realizing a scene had more exits or panning to the edge. Gorgeus artwork also occasionally hid key items.

Look it sufffers from every point and click in exitence where you click every inch of the screen and mash things together in order to figure out what works HOWEVER no soft locking and pretty smooth sailing. Recommend a guide if stuck cause again you might have a solution overlooked in a group of pixels and there are no rewards bfor banging your head against a brick wall hours at a time.

Its one of the best adventure games of the 90s, no question. Hilarious writing, beautiful art, iconic gameplay.

I love this game! It was one of the first point and click adventures I played abck in the 90's! It's easy to play, the puzzles are relatively easy and the humor is great! A definite must play!

Adventure games used to be the best kind of video game. They made you think and they made you laugh. Sam & Max does both exceptionally well. The humour and the puzzle solutions mix brilliantly and even doing something incorrectly can sometimes trigger a hilarious response from one of the characters. The solutions to puzzles are all logical although you have to think completely outside the box on occasion, and sometimes you need to get into the demented mind of Max. In my mind, Sam & Max is second only to Day of the Tentacle as the best of the classic adventure games, even ahead of the Monkey Island series. For the many many truly laugh out loud moments in this game, I have to give it 5 stars.
