  • New Supernatural Powers –The acclaimed super powers of Saints Row 4 are back with a hellish twist - Soar through the air on fallen angel’s wings, summon devilish imps to attack your foes, and surround yourself in a divine aura that forces all to worship you.

[T]his expansion is pretty enjoyable, but not essential. It's got some great new weapons and provides an easy excuse to dip back into a world of shameless comic violence – it's also a fairly disposable adventure that doesn't offer much in the way of essential material.

Gat Out of Hell is a comedic romp through myth, literature and video game tropes. The writing is smart, the gunplay is solid, and the city of Hell is a blast to fly though. Some may miss the more traditional mission design or lament its brevity, but Gat Out of Hell is a great way to cap off the story of the Third Street Saints

Saints Row: Gat out of Hell

If the Saints Row reboot never happened, Gat out of Hell would still be the worst game in this franchise. This game is basically what amounts to an overpriced and under-achieving standalone DLC. Gat out of Hell costs $15, it has a grand total of 8 missions which can be beaten in 4 hours, and it ripped out more features from Saints Row IV than I can even count. They were too cheap to spend any money on songs for the radio, so this game has absolutely no music in it. The map is boring and lifeless, even more empty than Steelport. The game's cutscenes are also done as a musical, which probably appeals to about 3% of Saints Row fans. The story is stupid, boring, and pretty lazy at times. The only good thing is that you get to be Johnny Gat. 4/10

Bugged achievements and challanges, but game overall is mediocre. Weaker than IV, and TT - which weren't best games.

A bad game to play even today

I would've expected some things to have changed, but not really. The game is awful in optimization, even with my 3060 that can run HEAVIER and STRONGER games, this game happens to be that one game that is stuck in 30-40 FPS on max graphics. Like... how? How bad is the optimization? And I think this game overall is the weakest link in the Saints Row titles. I know it's a small title and it's purpose, but still I feel like it could have been done better. Everything feels like padding and more padding. No actual missions apart from a few that feel like it, to then just force you on activities. If you go in expecting a quality that was present in the previous games, you are not in for a good time. I think it's a waste of time.
