New Supernatural Powers –The acclaimed super powers of Saints Row 4 are back with a hellish twist - Soar through the air on fallen angel’s wings, summon devilish imps to attack your foes, and surround yourself in a divine aura that forces all to worship you.
Outrageous Weapons – Put the 7 deadly sins to good use with an arsenal of underworld themed arms: fire exploding frogs at enemies, shoot swarms of locusts, and even deal destruction from afterlife’s most comfortable (and lethal) armchair.

The game itself was kinda unnecessary, but it was also pretty fun when I played it. For $3, I can promise you it's worth it, but maybe not for $15 unless you really like the hell motif or you like Johnny or Kinzie that much. It has a lot of references to the first game and a few others (it's hell and you are a thug who has killed people throughout the series) which as someone who knows the entire plot, I appreciated.
I recommend it. It's fun. I do wish this had been an expansion to Saints Row 3 or 4, as having access to hell powers and weapons would have been cool in the main game and this story was a little short. Not as short as others might claim, but still, it leaves you wanting a little more.
"Saints Row Gat out of Hell takes place after Saints Row 4 where Satan kidnaps The Boss in order to marry his daughter and it's up to Johnny Gat and Kinzie to save him/her." That's a simple story, but in case of Saints Row series it is a great idea, but after playing it however, it is a big disappointment.
Graphics: Not much to say about it really, cept Hell looks really great.
Audio: Nothing much to say once more cept the fact that there IS NO RADIO MUSIC AT ALL! (Some cars have a generic heavy metal tune playing that was generated really fast)
Gameplay: Besides some new weapons and a enjoyable flying feature with some new nice powerups. It's yer typical Saints Row game.
Story Progression: Now this is the major disappointment. The game takes place in fricking Hell! You'd expect to see every single Saints Row villain in this place such as Cyrus Temple, Kia, Philipe Loren, Veteran Child, Killbane, Zinyak etc. but nah, you get 3 historical characters for no reason, Dane and Dex who is nothing but a "living" joke....oh and Satan himself. Speaking of Him, all you have to do is just Visit Dane, go to those 3 historical characters, perform minigames (Yea, a number of minigames must be completed to make a progress) and go to Satan after that, you beat Satan, choost the ending and that's it. You can just complete it in 1 day....but there is one thing that will stop you.

In numerous occasions there is a chance that once you leave/enter the menu, either it won't show up or the button prompt to continue won't show up and pressing anything won't do anything, you will be stuck in it until you close the game manually with either Alt+F4 or just via Task Manager.
I suggest avoiding it at all cost, but if you want to play it just get it when there's a discount.
I beat this "entry" (mini dlc) in the series in about 3 hours. Theres NO soundtrack (no radio at all), NO customisation, the plot is terrible (at least the others had a plot).
Theres a distinct lack of character to the game, along with a completely meaningless reason to exist.
If the developers / publishers intended to have a purgatory simulator, they managed it. Not sure why they would want that, but they did it.
Regardless of how much you might want to play this, how much you need a new entry in the series, just dont give into that sin of temptation - the Devil has been at work - and the Devil is a lazy old so n so.
No character creation, no real story, much faster, harder gamestyle which isn't appreciated by me. The setting is cool, flying is fun, but because of the very uninspired gamestyle i was disappointed, to see this as the final sequel to my beloved Saints Row series. Gimme back Saints Row 2, pretty please.
Gat Out of hell is basically SR4 (super powers and all) but stripped down to just a sandbox world with a bunch of the sidequest/deed type things to do.
It's not terrible but lacks any real story missions or depth, which is a shame since there are some fun weapons and some cool designs.
The pacing is a bit weird , I'm not sure what triggers the main quest segments and i beat the game long before I did most of the activities.
All in all it comes across as a pretty weak entry but if you want some Saints Row type action without any of the overhead you can fire this bad-boy up, kill a few hours, and satiate your need for mayhem.
