This release, known as Rune Classic, contains the original Rune content, plus the multiplayer expansion pack Halls of Valhalla. Play the epic single player campaign with new monsters imported from Rune Viking Warlord or jump online to challenge your friends in 4 challenging multi player modes.

An Melee classic!!

Great game that brings back some good memories. Some have said that the single player is too long and a bit tedious and while that might have some truth to it, it all depends on what you like. If you like the feeling of being on an epic, sword swinging, Axe hurling, lizzard munching adventure through lots of cool places in the Nordic universe, then this game is a must. I think the single player is very underrated. I will say that the Multi player is on a whole nother level. Spent lots of hours back in the day lopping off people's heads!!

Human Head Studios ftw!

Heyyo, I'm still waiting on a Rune 2... Rune Classic is amazing... I've always wondered if adding the word "Classic" to this title meant they're working on or at least considering a Rune 2... cause This game's phenomenal. The hilarity of Multiplayer, especially Head Ball which has to be the most unique game mode in an MP game is just full of great memories. :)

Great memories... but...

MEMORY: A great game it was. I still remember it... WARNING: I got it on discount. Tried to run it on Windows 10, Intel HD430/NVIDIA GF 1050TI. I couldn't get it to run in 2025 on this configuration sadly. I got a refund in my wallet within an hour on an Easter evening. Very impressed. I'll use my funds to get a modern game that'll run without tricks. You could probably get it to run on an older system, in VM with Windows XP or some other hack but I didn't feel like it. RECOMMENDATION: Get the game into GOG. Fix the resolution and crash issues and I'd be glad to get it again.
