Hope you like only playing first level..
The game does not save your level progress. Or, at least it doesn't save mine. I've Googled periodically for perhaps a year now, no luck on figuring this out. Nobody out there is talking about it, so I think this could be user error somehow. Still not leaving what ought to be 5 stars because saving level progress, level selecting completed levels, and level selecting the first uncompleted level, should be obvious; not a puzzle. I don't have time for this nonsense. Using latest version at time of this writing, 2.0.3. Uninstalling this because I am not playing level one for the 100th time to see if I can figure out if it's really user error or developer error. It's developer error if it's this difficult to figure out, it's developer error if it isn't possible.

It's R-Type, what more do ya want?
Keyboard and mouse control for R-Type? Huh? This is R-Type. Why reinvent the wheel if it works? Feels very similar to R-Type Final 1. Only complaint is the unnecessary pilot thing a ma jig. Good thing you can choose to not show that. Graphics are beautiful, especially in 4K. Big fan of the series since my youth. I have the whole collection on Mame. If it were released in the arcades, this is what it would look like . It's R-Type. What more do ya want?

No regional price here on GOG
...While Steam does. I wouldn't be surprised if NIS America's entire catalogue would be at risk of getting removed, since they could think "GOG doesn't sell". And why would they think that? Regional pricing exists due to people in those regions often not being able pay the full price converted from USD, and NIS America threw away the regional pricing for most of their titles on GOG (and they also ignore anyone that asks them about it).
