RollerCoaster Tycoon® Deluxe

I have attempted every fix possible and the game refuses to launch at all, be it on GoG Galaxy or downloaded to run without it. Good thing I didn't spend much because clearly something is wrong with the game itself.

This is the best themepark and tycoon game i have ever played. It is highly accessible, while remaining challenging and fun. While it got set goals, it also enable you to get creative, not only in the design and layout of your park, but also in the design of your rides. You can customize almost all of the rides, and you are able to build your own roller coaster tracks. This game also manages to stay accessible while being detailed, and infinitely fun. This is a game you must have tried before you die, and if it's just to name a visitor after your mother in law and drowning her sims style! Yes, every visitor of you park can be named and will be a individual with it's own needs, wishes and stats. This game is a steal at any price, and for 6$ you just owe it to yourself to get it.

I absolutely love this game. I've probably played it more than any other game I own. Even though I would consider the sequel to be a slightly better game, I still say that this is a must own for any gamer. Even though I still have my original disks and the expansion packs I was thrilled to see RollerCoaster Tycoon on GoG, as it can be difficult to get it working properly on modern OSs. I'm happy to say that it works flawlessly on my machine. If you're on the fence about this one then just go for it, you won't regret it.

When I saw this game on GOG, I knew I had to get it. As a kid, I played so much of this game that my eyes popped out of my head. It and the Sims took up a lot of my free time. But even though I poured hours upon hours into this game, I always found something new to do, like new scenarios and the new expansion. I would recommend this game to anyone looking to have a good time. Just like advertised, you build a theme park from the ground trying to meet specific deadlines, like attracting more guests or getting enough money to pay off your loans. Simple, great fun that still holds up today. And for $6, you couldn't go wrong. Highlights include: building a theme park, setting prices on bathroom stalls, balloons, and building your own roller coasters.

This game is just as great now as it was when it first came out. The default GOG installation runs good even on Windows 10. However, When you run the game with the OpenRCT2 engine, it runs much better with modern features & resolutions and integrating RCT1 & RCT2 together in a single engine with all original features and scenario's intact! Whether you want to play the game from the default GOG installation or use the OpenRCT2 engine, you will enjoy this classic game! Buy with confidence!
