+ Perfect tone match for the movies
+ Engaging enough gameplay
+ Endevours to capture some police work apart from action so it is less monotonous
- story is really stupid
- combat is kinda limited and repetetive at times
This is a solid game that is definitely worth getting in discount. But it also shows it is a fairly low budget. Especially by reusing the same city map for 4 missions.
This is hands down the best Robocop game adaptation. The world feels exactly the way it is portrayed in the movies - a corporate run distopia. The visuals are fantastic - Unreal Engine 5 really shines in this title. The sound is exciting - every step, every shot sounds and feels heavy. The gameplay is excellent - Robo feels powerful but not unkillable. Overall this game is excellent. I have a few small gripes with it - there's quite a lot of exposition and it is a very story driven title. But that's really not the games issue, it's a matter of personal preference. The skills that you can choose from are also slightly boring, but that's because they obviously tried to have a grounded approach to Robo's strenghts and abilities.
I would totally recommend this to both fans of the franchise and newcomers. It doesn't hurt to watch the movies before playing the game but it's not necessary in order to understand the story.
If you're wondering whether to buy this game - just do it, you won't regret it.
A must play for robocop fans, taking place between 2 and 3; Its a unique FPS with light RPG elements in which you basically play a walking tank, with fun perks such as small arms fire bouncing off your armor to hit enemies and such.
Also one of the best handguns in any FPS ever, a gun so satisfying and fun to use you can easily beat the entire game using nothing but it.
