good fun, but there are better games
This game might not be the greatest game ever made. You notice they never had this ambition. But it captures the atmosphere of the movies really well, and the looks of the game are sometimes nothing but great. Unfortunately, robocop has basically 0 mobility, making the combat it bit.. stationary. The roleplay part is also not very deep, and neither is the detective work..

Read before you buy
Reading all the wonderful reviews, I couldn't wait to play this game. In fact, I still can't wait... but I can't play it and there's a good chance that neither can you! The way the game is coded will create a failure to launch error telling you that your system does not support DirectX 12 and that you should remove the command line argument requiring DirectX12 - this will happen without there being a command line argument and with a system that fully supports Dx12. Like me, you'd probably spend 2-3 frustrating hours doing everything from updating your Windows and GPU drivers to clearing shader caches and maybe even risking playing with BaseEngine.INI files... only to continuously run into the same problem. It's a shame because I couldn't wait to play this game. I grew up on the old Robocop movies and it sounds like if you CAN run it, it would be awesome... but that only makes the heartbreak and frustration of not being able to run it that much worse. Refunded

Is somebody going to fix this
dx12 not supported couldn't play. I tried all the fixes still couldn't play. if I need to spend two months rent on my pc just so I can play this game then neither I nor most other people are going to play this game or even any games at all

Unquestionably RoboCop
This game is incredibly fun. It's faithful to the source material and you can tell it was made with love. When a game's strengths this heavily outweigh its flaws, I don't think the flaws are even worth mentioning. Bravo to everyone who was involved in making Rogue City. RoboCop fans might be a little biased here because they did such a great job recreating the atmosphere of the films. So for anyone who hasn't seen the films, maybe check them out before playing. Nonetheless, this game is refreshing and a blast to play.
