Realms of the Haunting

An interesting blend of FPS and point and click gameplay with a fairly unique story that I really wanted to like. Unfortunately it brings out the absolute worst of those 2 genres. The FPS side has some really bad level design later in the game, to the point where some of them are litteral mazes. On the adventure side it has some of the worst developer logic puzzles ive seen in a while to the point where I was constantly having to consult a guide. something i didn't have to so in the first half. By the time I was done it just left a bad taste in my mouth and I have no desire to replay it. Which is a real shame as the closest thing that comes to it is the original system shock. Oh, and for what ever reason gog didn't use the US version. Instead you have to manually patch it to have much needed keybinding options and difficulty selection.

I’m just going to take a moment here to pay tribute to one of the best games I think I’ve ever played. It was so good, in fact, that I didn’t cheat. The game? Realms of the Haunting. What an epic…The first game I ever bought for PC. Terrifying, Clever, Interesting and HARD. And tonight it has ended. If you don’t mind old graphics, do yourself a favour a cough up.

This is seriously one of the most fun games i have ever played, you'd be a fool to miss it!

Oh my god,this game is so great

This has to be one of the best horror FMV pc titles, the game maybe old but do not let hat put you of, full of monsters excellent characters & not forgetting excellent FMV footage a must buy.
