Realms of the Haunting

Wow! looked through all these 5 star reviews, I can't believe that so many people loved this game as I did, at the time of release the game was stunning, for me it had everything Grx, Gameplay , great story that just kept you wanting more and fantastic FMV, I don't believe the FMV when you meet your father again for the first time in the game has ever been bettered in a game, truely gave me the creeps when I watched it for the first time on my own late at night , I envy anyone who has yet to play this genuine masterpiece. Can't leave without mentioning that gem of a 'Hammer house of horror' ending, when did you last see it so well done?

I'll Keep this short and sweet. Its a very interesting game that holds my attention well, the graphics have dated but it still has the charm and atmosphere which is great and the way the controls work is rather good. Well worth a look!

Awesome game. Very original. Combines elements of RPG, FPS and point and click adventures. Great storyline too. Oh and It has David learner (Pickle from Kinghtmare) in it too!

An interesting blend of FPS and point and click gameplay with a fairly unique story that I really wanted to like. Unfortunately it brings out the absolute worst of those 2 genres. The FPS side has some really bad level design later in the game, to the point where some of them are litteral mazes. On the adventure side it has some of the worst developer logic puzzles ive seen in a while to the point where I was constantly having to consult a guide. something i didn't have to so in the first half. By the time I was done it just left a bad taste in my mouth and I have no desire to replay it. Which is a real shame as the closest thing that comes to it is the original system shock. Oh, and for what ever reason gog didn't use the US version. Instead you have to manually patch it to have much needed keybinding options and difficulty selection.

I’m just going to take a moment here to pay tribute to one of the best games I think I’ve ever played. It was so good, in fact, that I didn’t cheat. The game? Realms of the Haunting. What an epic…The first game I ever bought for PC. Terrifying, Clever, Interesting and HARD. And tonight it has ended. If you don’t mind old graphics, do yourself a favour a cough up.
