In Rayman’s world, nature and people live together in peace. One day, the evil Mr. Dark defeats Betilla, the Fairy, and steals the Great Protoon, the provider of harmony and balance. The Electoons who used to gravitate towards it lose their natural stability and scatter all over the world. Strange phenomena begin to occur: freaks and hostile characters appear, capturing every Electoon they can find! The disappearance of the Great Protoon also neutralized all of Betilla’s powers, and she needs time to regenerate before she can help in any way. They definitely need a hero to save them, and it looks like you’re it. It’s now up to Rayman and you to rescue the world.
for some reason instead of the windows 95 version this is the dos version, which lacks the intro cutscene and the music from the win9x/Psone version of the game making this an overall inferior experience. refunded
This is a really good game but I feel like I should mention that this is the pc version of the game, they didn’t change anything that’s how the game was like in pc when it came out, if you want the PlayStation version with the music just but the game on your PlayStation or use an emulator.
I love so much about Rayman, and this is a bloody good release just for the sake that it's Rayman and more people should play it.
Beware, people that have played Rayman before. Some of the songs were cut from the soundtrack in order to make room for more game when the Forever CD was released. The whole soundtrack is included as MP3s, but if you already have Rayman I would rethink purchasing this.
The game worked initially after purchase, but after a recent Windows update, the game no longer loads and DOSBox continues to freeze upon loading the game. It's a real shame, since the game itself is brilliant!
There is nothing wrong with the game, an easy 4/5, 5/5 if it weren't for the brutal difficulty, but this GOG release really isn't worth it.
You have to manually add the music because otherwise there is NONE, which is unacceptable. This isn't GOG's fault so to say since they released Rayman Forever as-is. But there are numerous other problems as well; only English even though this absolutely had a German and French release, the DOSBox cyclespeed is too low, strange clicking noises while loading, Rayman 60 level pack is omitted etc.
