Rayman 2 and 3 absolutely needs to be part of the gog preservation program. These games are so much fun and more people need to play it. I'm glad that gog gives people the opterutinty to at least play this game but added controller support in the base game with definitely help out with experiencing this game.
You don't need a DLL file actually, just add it to steam as a non-steam game and enable Steam Input then assign the buttons to the keyboard controls, just find a manual telling you what's what online.
Its a great nostalgia, nevertheless the PC version is not as good as the console version. Graphics looks worse, no english dub as that was implemented into console version later. In PC version they speak Raymanian giberish (kinda like in Sims)
The soundtrack is kinda all over the place. Sometimes a different song that was ment for a certain level starts playing in a different level, mostly the third song from the OST named The Woods of Light, which sounds more like it would fit into the first levels of Spyro (cool funky bass guitar track).
Yet I know it has its rightful place in this game, but sometimes it doesnt fit the setting of jumping over huge lilipads, evading huge scary piranas in a swamp at night. Eric Chevalier composed an awesome OST for this game and this random track throwing at random moments kinda do it disservice.
If you can stick with a Nintendo or PS version, do it. If not, buy this, its like 5 bucks, but even that seems to me like too much for this port.
At least until Ubisoft gets their s**t together and finaly realize, that a remake of the first 3 Rayman games is the only thing that can save them now.
Controls are a lot to be desired.. having to resort to mouse and keyboard as sadly it doesn't seem USB controller compatible and it doesn't use the standard setup of space to jump etc. However for the nostalgia, 10/10
