You are a slugcat. The world around you is full of danger, and you must face it – alone. Separated from your family in a devastating flood, you must hunt for food and shelter between terrifying torrential downpours that threaten to drown all life. Climb through the ruins of an ancient civilization, evade the jaws of vicious predators, and discover new lands teeming with strange creatures and buried mysteries. Find your family before death finds you!
Inspired by the simplicity and aesthetics of 16-bit classics, this survival platformer requires fast-paced sneaking, both upon your own prey and past the jaws of hungry predators. Each ravenous foe in your path will be cunning, vicious and always on the hunt – eager to sink their teeth into you, or even each other. As a small, soft slugcat you must to rely on stealth and wit rather than force: learn the ecosystem and turn their strengths to your advantage. Maybe then you can survive… Rain World!

unplayable
There is a very common visual glitch where your character's shadow is in the wrong place and the actual character doesn't show up, all the solutions said to go change your graphics card settings so you're not using the integrated graphics,, I'm playing on a laptop with no non integrated GPU, for some reason I just can't play this 2d pixel art platformer because I don't have a NVIDIA RTX chip?? What the fuck, this game should be playable on like a gameboy advance, its a pixelated 2d platformer, why does it require super powerful graphics cards??

RW is not unfair, is a slap of humility
Despite being an indie focused on selling, he has an effoquent who knows that many people won't like it because it may seem unfair even if it isn't. Even so, he does it because it's part of the experience and dares to tell you that you can't always be the hero, and that does not mean giving up.

Not a platformer or metroidvania!
This is a survival simulator that punishes players with boredom. Exploration is no fun in this game. You have to be curious to move forward. But curiosity gets punished with death IMMEDIATELY. Following death, you have to grind your way up again ... and again ... and again ... And, slugcat moves slowly, excruciatingly slowly ...
