This game is inferior to 1st and tedious

in 1st game if you did not wanted to work and your build worked you could easily earn money from ultimate fights to supply this lifestyle this game have so much more grind and labour grind compared to 1st game its just sickens me i wish game would let you progress after losing fight or knife enemy to death and take prison sentence, i failed customer and tinfoil guy 16 times each, yes i doubled their stats... i can double the stats of NPC, but they don't care and still cheat to win no food, low energy, no money and i exhausted all the help options combat feels so unrewarding and unstrategic, in 1st game i had a feeling like smart guy when my build switched to low energy attacks to save up a round and than go all in when HP ware low on enemy

Rollercoaster of twists for movie-buffs

I just finished Punch Club 2 Fast Forward... no spoilers, but now I want Punch Club 3 ... GOG hear me! Punch Club 1 was a solid planner game, but Punch Club 2 was a rollercoaster of twists. First I thought WTF? and then the further you progress, the more funny it gets with the story. Totally underappreciated game. and it's totally a game for 80s/90s/00s movie-buffs

Brillinat pnc sim game with rich story

Apart from being a bit grindy sim game the story and parodic retro pop-cultural references are top notch. The sequel is more content rich and diverse compared to the first one so the grind blends nicely and you won't finish the game in just a few hours. While the first game took place directly in the 90's the sequel is 1-2 generations ahead in a bit cyberpunk-ish future with neurochips, robots and social credit system. Some reviewers are complaining about unbalanced combat with cheating AI... I didn't have that much trouble, maybe due to more recent version. The combat is indeed different and rather bland in the first chapter, but once you unlock various schools and special techniques it becomes way more strategic compared to the first game. No one ultimate build for all fights, you need to study enemy and align your techniques also as opponent changes his techniques between rounds. Audio and visuals - artistic heaven. I just miss the CRT filter from the first game. I love the game as someone who lived through 80's and 90's. There's so much relatable and lovable here. And you don't need anything else than mouse to play the game which is also something I value.
