A Great Game
Pumpkin Jack is a really fun game. The graphics, sound, and unique humor remind me of MediEvil on the PS1. I highly recommend Pumpkin Jack.

Simple but effective
Simple fun little game, its art style is what really carries it the combat is simple, the platforming is simple so might only give you a few minutes while look at the graphcs.

Charming
The big draw here is the fun writing and character design. I dislike a lot of games that try to be funny, especially European ones where the humor doesn't quite translate, but most of the jokes here land for me. I like the spooky vibe of the world the designers created here, and the gameplay is generally good. It's mostly easy but amusing combat with some light platforming and puzzle elements. There are two or three platforming sequences that felt frustratingly clunky to me, but the experience as a whole is good. I especially liked the setpieces that break up the normal gameplay loop with a minecart ride or something similar. My only complaint here is the story feels unfinished. I don't know if they were hoping for a sequel, but they set up the protagonist as the trickiest trickster who ever lived, and then he just does exactly what he is told to do in the most straightforward way available to him and consequently dooms the entire world.

Great game for a solo developer
I hope this game launches a great feature for the developer. The game brought me back to the medievil days and now, what I shared with my father, I get to share with my daughter. Great homage to the hack n slash, action adventure, platformer era.
