Delve into people's minds as Raz, a powerful young cadet at a psychic summer camp. While working on his merit badge in levitation, Raz discovers that someone is kidnapping psychic children and stealing their brains. To foil this evil plot and earn the title of Psychonaut, Raz must project himself into the mind of one bizarre character after another to battle their nightmares and inner demons. He does all this while continuing to earn psychic merit badges in subjects such as telekinesis, clairvoyance and fire-starting.

The first half of this game is easily one of the most enjoyable I've had in the past year. But as is the case with many humorous games, the laughs begin to fade in the home stretch and in the end Psychonauts started to wear on me.

What's unavoidable is the fact that almost all of the problems that weigh Psychonauts down are borne out of the legacy that the platform genre itself has, and Double Fine - like so many other developers - has largely been unable to avoid falling into the same pitfalls of inconsistent level design and unwise difficulty spikes. Dammit.

BUY IT ON STEAM NOT GOG
Psychonauts is an amazing game filled with an awesome plot and a collector's a dream, with an amazing art style to boot. However the GOG is NOT the updated version with way better graphics,bugs fixes ,and extra content, though the one on Steam is, so go on Steam and buy it, NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!

Too buggy on the mac
This looks like a fun game, but the sound glitches constantly and the health display doesn't update to show my current health. It makes the game nearly unplayable.

Glad I only paid $1.39 for it
Horribly clunky, buggy controls & camera make it unplayable. Shame as it looked like it had potential.
