Delve into people's minds as Raz, a powerful young cadet at a psychic summer camp. While working on his merit badge in levitation, Raz discovers that someone is kidnapping psychic children and stealing their brains. To foil this evil plot and earn the title of Psychonaut, Raz must project himself into the mind of one bizarre character after another to battle their nightmares and inner demons. He does all this while continuing to earn psychic merit badges in subjects such as telekinesis, clairvoyance and fire-starting.

This amazing 3D platformer adventure, full of brilliant humor, trippy setting, and surreal action, became famous for its originality and excellence of design. If you're looking for a unique gaming experience, this is a fine pick. More than just fine, as a matter of fact--double fine!

The first half of this game is easily one of the most enjoyable I've had in the past year. But as is the case with many humorous games, the laughs begin to fade in the home stretch and in the end Psychonauts started to wear on me.

What's unavoidable is the fact that almost all of the problems that weigh Psychonauts down are borne out of the legacy that the platform genre itself has, and Double Fine - like so many other developers - has largely been unable to avoid falling into the same pitfalls of inconsistent level design and unwise difficulty spikes. Dammit.

A generational masterpiece

Enter Psychonauts! The story of Razputin in Whispering Rock, Camp for the Psychicly Gifted. Here Raz will learn everything he needs to be the titular Psychonaut, a group psychic specialist that protect our world from psychic threats. This games, in 2025, is still a joy to play. The worlds, story, character, abilities, action, dialogue, EVERYTHING is made with intention and care. There is nothing more to say. Best Tim Schafer Game

Above average platformer with some frustrating 3D aspects. Great, fun story. Interesting characters. Lots of humor and some of the best video game levels in all of gaming.

Amazing game, worth every penny!

I had Psychonauts in the library for some time but I just installed it recently and it was a blast from the start, great&unique design which makes the graphics still look good, fun gameplay that isn't too hard, great pacing that doesn't overstay its welcome, for not even 10 bucks it's a steal, buy it and you won't regret it as since I started playing it I didn't stop until I finished it, it just became one of my all time favourites with how quirky, unique and most importantly fun it was!
