The camera is unuasable in this game. It is very hard to control where are you looking. You fight with the camera all the time. More than with enemies.
Combat is repetitive, but not so bad. You are forced to adapt as jumping over enemies and slashing cease to work later in game.
I played all the way through with a controller. All of the issues raised about the janky camera are accurate. I also couldn't get the prince to run left or right, only straight ahead. He would only walk left/right. There is no way to assign a run/walk toggle button on controller, unfortunately. I'm not sure about with a keyboard. So, while the game mechanics were a bit janky, the game itself was a lot of fun and looks great. Make sure to block enemy attacks. That is the key. Once I figured that out, the battles were manageable. You can even block enemy attacks from your back.
