This game has horrrible combat, I still 4 star it. It has generic story (as a bit of a mythology/religion nerd I do find some fun in the theology and the architecture is stunningly beautiful, inspired by ancient babylon). This is not an open world game, it is one massive temple/dungeon. This is amazing. But don't belive you will go "exploring lands" or ride through a canyon, all you will be doing, is platforming,
This is fine. In all ways I am super okay with this. You cannot die but instead rely on checkpoints on each platform basically so death just lets you try again. This will get harder since in the end the platforms can be far and few between. The temple/dungeon you play in can be traversed fully one side to the other, somewhat choosing the order you do things in.
This game has a simple loop. Basically you climb, jump and eventually "fight" (push off a cliff) an enemy with a lackluster "combat system" that really only serves as a checkpoint and unlock for glowing orbs that you will collect. The orbs are the games core. This is a MASSIVE temple/dungeon platformer with no real combat or good enough story whatsoever. And I love every second of it, running up on 30hrs now. You collect the orbs and thus are forced to actually perform all the platforming in the game pretty much, if you cant you will have to move on to another enemy to unlock a new section of orbs that eventually, unlock a new section of the games map by giving access to a new "skill" (a plate that will push you into the sky pretty useless except as a mixup). I love this loop
Artstyle, graphics and mechanics are excellent. Controller is easier but you get very quickly used to PC controls and I recommend using them if you prefer it. The game hasnt provided difficult puzzles or combat for me but it is as if I dont care about those things, cause thats how good the platforming is and how fun it is to play. Recommended without a doubt if you want a good "collection platformer"
