In the midst of a land rooted in Persian mythology, the Prince finds himself caught in an epic battle between the forces of Good and Evil: the God of Light, Ormazd, against his brother Ahriman, the God of Evil and destruction. He becomes a witness to the destruction of the legendary Tree of Life - an act which threatens to plunge the world into darkness for eternity. A black substance called "The Corruption" begins to contaminate the ground and even the sky itself. Our heroic Prince, together with the enigmatic and dangerous Elika, must do all that he can to rid the world from this ultimate evil.
Featuring a re-imagined Prince and a beautiful cel-shaded world, Prince of Persia is chock full of the awesome acrobatics and free-form fighting that are the series’ hallmark. A huge, open world awaits you, intrepid adventurer. Will you be the one to cleanse the world of Ahriman's corruptive influence?

The only downside is the name
This is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played, and I write this review because of the people that hate this game. The name of the game is the biggest downside because this is NOT like the other Prince of Persia games. But what you get is a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful painting to play trough with fun platforming, great humor, fun puzzles and a neat but simple combat system. You can't die in this game because your partner helps you when you fall, this isn't that bad because you want to explore the world and you don't need to care about if you die or not. If you like to play a relaxing game with the most beautiful art style in years, you need to play this! Don't listen to the low review scores, the people that rate this game low played the game with the expectation that this was like the sands of time etc. So in the end, I highly recommend this game is for the people that like "art-games".

Severe issue
The game refuses to run at anything more than 24Hz. That may be fine for film, but it makes a game look like a slideshow. Due to this, it's unplayable.

Graphics, moviment and playability are very good. Only the combat with final phase monstres are monotone and longs

Perfectly Serviceable
Nice looking game. The movement is solid but does not feel as polished as comparable games. Combat and story side are a bit weak.
