In the midst of a land rooted in Persian mythology, the Prince finds himself caught in an epic battle between the forces of Good and Evil: the God of Light, Ormazd, against his brother Ahriman, the God of Evil and destruction. He becomes a witness to the destruction of the legendary Tree of Life - an act which threatens to plunge the world into darkness for eternity. A black substance called "The Corruption" begins to contaminate the ground and even the sky itself. Our heroic Prince, together with the enigmatic and dangerous Elika, must do all that he can to rid the world from this ultimate evil.
Featuring a re-imagined Prince and a beautiful cel-shaded world, Prince of Persia is chock full of the awesome acrobatics and free-form fighting that are the series’ hallmark. Parkour game
Ok ill start with the positive. * The game is very casual friendly, which is a good thing, there are no extra difficulties to wound your ego or vex you, you are practically immortal (not sure how good that is) and you will never see the game over screen. * The art is great and ahead of its time, I really enjoyed it and it will most likely never need a remake Unfortunately this is where the positive things end. Lets go to the negative now * Combat, the games combat is mediocre in the least, you are immortal like I said earlier which kinda takes the little fun it has out of it. You enter in some sort of rpg duel everytime you encounter an enemy so dont expect much * Story, the story ends in a cliffhanger, big, huge fat red flag, definately taking a star away from it for this. * Like the title says, the game is strictly a parkour acrobatics game, with some duels to add some spice. * Lastly but not least, its a ubisoft game, so by default its -1 star.

the game generally is fun and engaging with cool parkor and combat but i hate the eding so much, it just made me think what is the point of all this

One of the best fantasy tales ever.
Many people say this game has nothing to do with prince of Persia. Well they are right. Forget the name. Just play one of the best games ever made. Easy, fun, beautiful, challenging.

Perhaps I treated you too harshly...
Back in the day people hated the fact that we had a new character and that the game was focused on traveling through levels, as opposed as the action focused exploration of the sands of time trilogy. Yeah I was one of them. Looking back, I see this game more fondly now for what it brings on its art direction and music, and how charming is the relation and banter between Elika and the main character throughout, from distrust to genuine care by the end, with a game having a beautifully bitersweet ending. DLC ruined it, but thats another story entirely and its not present on this release, probably for the best. Traverse large enviroments, watch two people grow closer and listen to beautiful music while at it, that's what this game is all about for me.
