Princess of Persia
First of, this game is not about the nameless prince, it is about Princess Elika, so I guess a better name should have been "Princess of Persia". The story of the game is 95% told by the two caracters talking to each other along the way, so you rarely see any cut scenes interrupting the flow of the game, and I liked that very much. You still control the prince, but the Princess is always there and you will need her most of the time. You probably already know that in this game you can not die, not even if you try. To some people this may be a bad thing because it takes away the challenge, but for me this was a great idea because for the first time I played a game where doing crazy jumps is not frustraiting at all, and the game flows very fast since there are no interruptions by loading screens. The combat system may feel a litle simplified, but I liked it too because you are not smashing buttons like in most games, you really have to pay attention to what you are doing. Also this game is not combat oriented, 80% of the time you will be running and jumping all arround. The visuals are beautifull, I loved the art style, it really is like a painting coming to life, especially after each "healing". And one more thing I like a lot about this game is that it is not linear. This time the world is open and you are free to choose where to go all the time. I've played all the PoP games since the very first one, and for me this is the best. If you like complicated and difficult games you may not like this one, PoP it is truly simple and easy to play, but that does not mean you can't enjoy it. Oh, and by the way, the ending was totally unexpected, very original! Just loved it.
